The Creakers

This is a book about a girl called Lucy, who lives in a house with her mom because her dad disappeared. The next day she wakes up and all of the grown-ups have disappeared. The children are worried at first, but then they are excited and enjoy having no grown-ups around. They make a street with trampolines and someone puts a shark in the swimming pool. But after awhile, Lucy and her friend discover that something is happening once they've gone to bed. Will they discover where the grown-ups have gone?

This was a really good book because the characters were really funny. My favourite character was probably Ella, the mayor's daughter, who got all dressed up in her mom's clothes. Because the mayor was gone, she thought she was new mayor! She was so funny! This book was a great adventure because they entered a completely different world when they followed the Creakers. I would definitely recommend this book.
