A Snowy Story

The Abominables by Eva Ibbotson is about some adorable yetis that are in danger of being spotted by some people who set up a hotel really near their valley. They have to travel halfway across the world to try to get to a safe place where no humans can get them. They have to travel through lots of difficulties and do many dangerous things. Will they be safe???

This book is great because it's really exciting and adventurous. You always have to figure out if the people they meet are friends or enemies. It is also very hysterical because as all humans can't be perfect, all yetis can't be perfect either. My favourite characters are Ambrose, the youngest yeti, who has one eye that is hazel and one eye that is blue, and Hubert the Mountain Goat, who is very silly. I think you will really enjoy this book.
