Dragon Daughter

At Durham book festival, I met author Liz Flanagan who was signing copies of her latest book, Dragon Daughter. She was sitting in the back of the bookstore with a bowl of chocolate dragon's eggs and I felt truly honoured to meet her. She told me about the book and then signed it "To Emily and James, Hope you enjoy these dragons! Liz Flanagan." A truly amazing experience, it felt like a dream as I have always greatly admired those who can write a book as good as this one was.

In my opinion, this could become the next Harry Potter as it has every single quality of a good book, and she is writing the sequel - I cannot wait!!! The entire storyline, with a battle at the end of it, was truly amazing. It really came to life. I was able to live through every single one of the characters' lives and experienced everything they did. The mark of a truly good book.

Young servant girl Milla has always loved dragons for as long as she can remember, ever since she was found on the street as a baby. Then she witnesses a murder and finds herself caring for the last four dragon eggs. Forced to keep them a secret from her master and the power-hungry duke, the other servant, Lanys, betrays them, and as the struggle for power and for the dragons collide, it leads Milla to find out who she truly is.
